Radiator Cooling Fan Motor: Description and Operation

A thermostatically controlled electric fan is used on all models. The water pump suction inlet elbow mounted thermostatic switch contacts close when coolant temperature exceeds a predetermined temperature, actuating the cooling fan relay. The cooling fan relay then completes the circuit to the cooling fan. The electric cooling fan will operate whenever the A/C compressor is operating.
