Incorrect Specification - Check Procedure

Issue:

Seven vehicles within the following VIN range have fitted with a dipstick of incorrect specification.

VIN Range: 193616 - 193853

Action:

During PDI checks of automatic gearbox fluid level, inspect and check the dipstick to ensure that it is of correct specification.





The dipsticks are identified by measuring between the tip and the "Min Hot" marking, as illustrated.

If an incorrect dipstick is identified, it should be replaced with a dipstick of correct specification, part number EBC 8409. The incorrect specification dipstick should be returned to Jaguar Cars through normal Warranty channels.

For vehicles that have already been sold, inspect the automatic gearbox dipstick at the first service opportunity.
