Power Seat Relay: Description and Operation

Front Passenger Seat Switches:

On VDP and XJ12 models, two additional switches are introduced to enable operation of the front passenger seat fore/aft and recline adjustments by a rear passenger or the driver. The switches are installed on a finisher, in a housing attached to the inboard side of the passenger seat squab. The housing is trimmed to match the seat trim. The switches are illuminated, three position rocker switches, spring-loaded to the center (off) position.

A revised seat harness connects the new switches in parallel with the related adjustment switches on the seat cushion.
