1. Remove fascia panel from righthand side of instrument panel, Fig. 3.
2. Loosen air bag module attaching nuts.
3. While lifting catch plates upward, carefully pivot passenger's air bag downward to the disarmed position, Fig. 4.

NOTE: As the catches are released the arming mechanism will apply considerable force. Support air bag with both hands, so it will not snap downward; ease to the disarmed position

4. Remove relay module attaching bolts and position module out of way.
5. Remove air bag module outer bracket attaching bolts.
6. Remove air bag attaching nuts.
7. Remove air bag and outer bracket, Fig. 5.

8. Air bag module arming slide should be in the full down disarmed position, Fig. 6. If not, position air bag on workbench with pad side facing upward. Using finger pressure, slide arming mechanism downward. If mechanism will not move downward to the disarmed position, place air bag in a secure location and contact Jaguar.
9. After air bag has been placed in disarmed position, remove arming mechanism cap bolts.
10. Carefully remove arming mechanism from air bag.
11. Reverse procedure to arm air bag.
