Ball Joint: Service and Repair

Upper Bail Joint, Remove & Refit

^ Jack up the vehicle securely.

^ Undo and remove wheel nuts.

^ Remove wheel / tire assembly.





^ Undo and remove upper ball joint fixings (1 Fig. 1) and caster shims (2 Fig. 1).

^ Undo and remove upper ball joint securing nut (3 Fig. 1), fit service tool JD 100 and break the taper.

^ Remove upper ball joint assembly (4 Fig. 1).

^ Refit in reverse order to removal procedure.
