Road Spring/Pan, Remove & Refit

^ Jack up vehicle securely on two stands.

^ Ensure vehicle is high enough to access service tool JD 115.

^ Remove wheel / tire assembly.





^ Fit lower adaptors to service tool JD 115 and fit this to the front spring (Fig. 1).

^ Engage dowels in slots of suspension turret tops.

^ Tighten tool to tension spring until the load is taken off the spring pan.

^ Undo and remove spring pan securing bolt, slacken off tool wing nut to release tension on the spring.

^ Remove tool from the suspension assembly.

^ Remove spring plate and road spring from the tool.

^ Refit in reverse order to removal procedures.

WARNING: NEVER RE-USE OLD SPRING PAN BOLTS.
