Front Damper, Remove & Refit

Note: Damper units can be renewed individually providing one of the two dampers has covered less than 25,000 miles (40,000 kms), or the replacement damper has the same part number as the one fitted to the vehicle.

^ Jack up the vehicle securely.

^ Undo and remove wheel nuts.

^ Remove wheel/tire assembly.





^ Remove camber tie down link (1 Fig. 1) using service tool JD 133.

^ Remove washer (2 Fig. 1) and microvon buffer (3 Fig. 1).

^ Remove stabilizer bar to lower link arm securing nut for access.

^ Undo and remove damper lower securing nut and bolt.

^ Manually compress damper and remove.

^ Remove microvon buffer and washer.

^ Remove damper lower bush using service tool JD 135.

^ Refit in reverse order to removal procedure.
