Oil Pressure Warning Lamp/Indicator: Description and Operation

This signal comes direct from the oil pressure sensor, mounted on the engine. The sensor reads open circuit at 0 Bar and short circuit above 0.41 Bar.

When the gauge reaches a predetermined reading the instrument pack illuminates the warning light.
