Fluid Transfer Tube: Service and Repair

INTERNAL LUBRICATION PIPE, RENEW

- Open the hood and fit a suitable fender cover.

- Raise the vehicle on a ramp.

- Drain the transmission lubrication system.

- Remove the fluid pan.

- Release and remove the internal lubrication pipe retainer to valve body securing bolt.

- Remove the lubrication pipe retainer.

- Release and remove the lubrication pipe clamp to valve body securing nut.

- Remove the lubrication pipe clamp.

- Displace and remove the lubrication pipe from the trans- mission unit.

- Drain any residual fluid from the lubrication pipe and place the pipe aside.

- Clean the relevant parts.

- Fit and fully seat a new lubrication pipe to the transmission unit.

- Fit the lubrication pipe clamp.

- Fit and tighten the lubrication pipe clamp to valve body securing bolt.

- Fit the lubrication pipe retainer.

- Refit the fluid pan.

- Lower the vehicle on the ramp.

- Refill the transmission unit with fluid.

- Remove the fender cover and close the hood.
