Lightweight Torque Converter





The new torque converter is functionally the same as the converter it replaces, but is 30 mm (1.18 in) shallower and has a smaller mass. The resulting decrease in inertia improves engine responsiveness.

A new torque converter housing accommodates the shallower torque converter, reducing the overall length of the transmission installation.
