S1: CHECK GEARSHIFT INTERLOCK RELAY AUDIBLY
1. Switch the ignition to the RUN position.
2. LOCATE the gearshift interlock relay at the rear power distribution box.
3. Audibly CHECK the gearshift interlock relay while an assistant operates the brake pedal position switch.
^ Is the gearshift interlock relay clicking?
-> Yes
Goto [S2]
-> No
Goto [S4]

S2: CHECK THE VOLTAGE SUPPLY TO THE GEARSHIFT INTERLOCK RELAY
1. Switch the ignition to the OFF position.
2. REMOVE the gearshift interlock relay.
3. Switch the ignition to the RUN position.
4. Measure the voltage between pin 3 (GU) of the gearshift interlock relay harness and GROUND.
^ Is the voltage less than 12 Volts?
-> Yes
Goto [S3]
-> No
Goto [S8]

S3: CHECK THE VOLTAGE SUPPLY TO THE GEARSHIFT INTERLOCK RELAY
1. Measure the voltage at the output side of fuse 5 at the primary junction box CA2 pin 7, (GO).
^ Is the voltage less than 12 Volts?
-> Yes
INSTALL a new fuse. CLEAR DTC. TEST the system for normal operation. If the fuse fails CHECK the primary junction box.
-> No
REPAIR the circuit between pin 3 (GU) of the gearshift interlock relay harness and the output side of fuse 3 at the primary junction box CA2 pin 7, (GO). CLEAR DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.

S4: CHECK THE BBP SWITCH VOLTAGE SUPPLY TO THE GEARSHIFT INTERLOCK RELAY
1. Measure the voltage between pin 1 (OY) of the gearshift interlock relay and GROUND
^ Is the voltage less than 12 Volts?
-> Yes
Goto [S5]
-> No
REPAIR the GROUND supply circuit between CA156 and pin 2, (13) of the gearshift interlock relay. CLEAR DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.

S5: CHECK THE BPP SWITCH VOLTAGE SUPPLY CIRCUIT
1. Disconnect the BPP switch electrical connector, CA37.
2. Switch the ignition to the RUN position.
3. Measure the voltage between the BPP switch electrical connector CA37 pin 1, (OG) and GROUND.
^ Is the voltage less than 12 Volts?
-> Yes

-> No
Goto [S7]

S6: CHECK THE BPP SWITCH VOLTAGE SUPPLY CIRCUIT
1. Measure the voltage supply from fuse 35 (OG) at the primary junction box.
^ Is the voltage less than 12 Volts?
-> Yes
INSTALL a new fuse. CLEAR DTC. TEST system for normal operation. If the fuse fails CHECK the primary junction box.
-> No
REPAIR the circuit between the BPP switch electrical connector CA37 pin 1, (OG) and the output side of fuse 35 (OG) at the primary junction box. CLEAR DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.

S7: CHECK THE BBP SWITCH
1. Operate the brake pedal.
2. Measure the resistance between the BBP switch electrical connector pins 1 and 2.
^ Is the resistance less than 0.5 Ohms?
-> Yes
REPAIR the gearshift interlock relay supply circuit between the BBP switch CA37 pin 2, (OU) and the gearshift interlock relay pin 1 (OY). CLEAR DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
-> No
INSTALL a new BBP switch. CLEAR DTC. TEST system for normal operation.

S8: CHECK THE CONTINUITY OF THE J GATE ASSEMBLY BPP SIGNAL CIRCUIT
1. Measure the resistance between the gearshift interlock relay pin 5, (GW) and the J gate assembly CA41 pin 13, (GW).
^ Is the resistance less than 0.5 Ohms?
-> Yes
INSTALL a new gearshift interlock relay. CLEAR DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
-> No
REPAIR the BPP signal circuit between the gearshift interlock relay pin 5, (GW) and the J gate assembly CA41 pin 12, (GW). CLEAR DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
