Roof Opening Panel Module (86.76.07)

Removal

1. Remove the headliner.

2. CAUTION: Do not operate the roof opening panel when the roof opening glass is removed.

Remove the roof opening panel glass.

3. Disconnect the roof opening panel harness electrical connector.







4. Detach the roof opening panel drain hoses







5. Remove the roof opening panel frame bolts.







6. Remove the roof opening panel frame bracket.







7. CAUTION: Take care to support roof opening panel frame as final bolts are removed.

Remove the roof opening panel frame bolts. Left-hand side shown, right-hand side similar.







8. Remove the roof opening panel frame.







9. Disconnect the roof opening panel control module electrical connectors.







10. Remove the electrical harness cable tie.
11. Remove the roof opening panel motor assembly.







12. Remove the roof opening panel control module locating screw.







13. Remove the roof opening panel control module.







Installation

1. NOTE: The control module wax timing pin is still in place.

Make sure the shoulder of each cable sleeve is correctly seated in the roof opening panel control module.







2. Fully tighten the control module screw.







3. CAUTION: Do not overtighten the roof opening panel motor screws. Damage to the roof opening panel control module may result.

Install the roof opening panel motor screws.







4. Remove the control module wax timing pin.







5. Install the electrical harness cable tie.
6. Reconnect the roof opening panel control module electrical connectors.







7. CAUTION: Make sure the guide obscuration shields are in the correct position.

Install the roof opening panel frame.







8. NOTE: Loosely install roof opening panel frame bolts.

Align the roof opening panel frame using a 12 mm drill bit.







9. NOTE: The roof opening panel frame bolts must be tightened in the following sequence.

Install the roof opening panel frame bolt.







10. Install the roof opening panel frame bolt.







11. Install the roof opening panel frame bolt.







12. Install the roof opening panel frame bolt.







13. Install the roof opening panel frame bolts.







14. CAUTION: Make sure the anti-flutter bracket is lightly pressed to both mating surfaces before tightening.

Install the roof opening panel frame bracket bolt.







15. Install the roof opening panel frame bracket bolt.







16. CAUTION: Make sure the anti-flutter bracket is lightly pressed to both mating surfaces before tightening.

Install the roof opening panel frame bracket bolt.







17. Install the roof opening panel frame bracket bolt.







18. Reconnect the roof opening panel harness electrical connector.







19. Make sure the obscuration shields are correctly seated.







20. Install the roof opening panel glass.
21. Adjust the roof opening glass height.
22. Operate the roof opening panel.
- Check for correct synchronization. Check the rear profile position is the same when closing the roof opening panel from the "tilt" and "open" position.

23. Install the headliner.
