Intake Manifold: Service and Repair


Special Service tools





Remover - windscreen wiper 501-065
Removal





1. Remove the wiper arm nut covers.





2. Remove the wiper arm nuts.





3. Using special tool, detach the wiper arms.





4. Remove the wiper arms.





5. Remove the cowl grille.





6. Remove the engine compartment brace.
7. Remove the throttle body. For additional information, refer to Powertrain Management.





8. Disconnect the right-hand bank camshaft position sensor.





9. Disconnect the right-hand bank injector electrical connectors.





10. Disconnect the fuel temperature sensor electrical connector.





11. Detach the engine harness.
1. Disconnect the knock sensor electrical connector.
2. Detach the engine harness.





12. Disconnect the idle speed control valve electrical connector.





13. Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator electrical connector.





14. Remove the engine harness bracket.





15. Disconnect the camshaft position sensor electrical connector.





16. Disconnect the left-hand bank fuel injector electrical connectors.
17. Disconnect the brake booster vacuum supply hose.
18. Disconnect the evaporative emission canister purge valve vacuum supply hose.





19. Remove the engine harness bracket.





20. Disconnect the intake manifold heater coolant tube.





21. Detach the intake manifold.





22. Remove the intake manifold.

Installation








1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
