Fuel Pressure Release: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.





2. Remove the schrader valve cap.





WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE TAP IS TURNED FULLY CLOCKWISE BEFORE FILING THE FUEL PRESSURE GAUGE TO THE SCHRADER VALVE. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY.

3. Connect the fuel pressure gauge to the schrader valve.





NOTE: When relieving the fuel pressure, catch any displaced fuel in a suitable container.

4. Turn the tap on on the fuel pressure guage fully counterclockwise to relieve the fuel pressure.
5. Remove the fuel pressure guage and install the schrader valve cap.
