Fuel Rail: Service and Repair

Removal

CAUTION: Do not smoke or carry lighted tobacco or open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel related components. Highly flammable vapors are always present and may ignite. Failure to follow these instructions can result in personal injury.

1. Remove the throttle body. Service and Repair
2. Depressurize the fuel system. Fuel Pressure Release





3. Detach the camshaft position sensor electrical connector from the fuel rail.





4. Disconnect the fuel temperature sensor electrical connector.





5. Disconnect the fuel injector electrical connectors.





6. Disconnect the engine breather hose.





7. Detach the fuel rail from the cylinder head.





8. Disconnect the fuel pulse damper electrical connector.





9. Disconnect the fuel pulse damper vacuum hose.





10. Disconnect the fuel supply hose. Fuel Line Coupler





11. Disconnect the fuel injector electrical connectors





12. Detach the camshaft position sensor from the fuel rail.





13. Detach the fuel rail from the cylinder head.





14. Remove the fuel rail.


Installation
