Shift Linkage: Service and Repair

Removal





1. Unclip the parking brake boot.





2. Detach the center console upper section.





3. Remove the gearshift lever knob.
Pull sharply towards the vehicle headlining.





4. Detach the gearshift lever rubber gaiter.
Push down through the floor pan.
5. Raise and support the vehicle.





6. Detach the selector rod.
Remove the selector rod locating clip.





7. Detach the stabilizer rod.





8. Remove the shift linkage mechanism.

Installation
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
