Side Air Bag: Service and Repair

Removal
1. Remove the driver seat.







2. Reposition the seat squab hinge cover.







3. Detach the seat squab cover rear lower retaining clips.







4. Remove the seat squab support panel.







5 Reposition the seat squab cover.
- Detach the seat squab cover internal retaining clips.







6. Reposition the side air bag module chute.
1. Remove and discard the rivet.
2. Reposition the side air bag module chute.







7. Detach the side air bag module.
- Remove and discard the retaining nuts.







8. Remove the side air bag module.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.

Installation







1. To install, reverse the removal procedure
- Tighten to 7 Nm.
