The material specification of the lower tailgate cable has been revised to improve the corrosion resistance within the cable assembly.
ACTION REQUIRED
Upon customer complaint of corrosion of the tailgate cable replace with new parts.

PROCEDURE
Refer to the workshop manual section 76 page 30
1. Open lower tailgate assembly to reveal the cable assemblies. (indicated A on the illustration).
2. Slide the rubber cable sleeve downwards to reveal the bare cable.
3. If corrosion is evident - replace the cable assemblies.
