DETAIL

International concern continues to focus attention on limiting further depletion of the ozone layer and on actions required to accelerate the phasing out of CFC substances such as those used in automotive air conditioning systems.

Land Rover has responded to these concerns by introducing CFC free air conditioning systems for current and future models. Theses vehicles require new service equipment to recover, recycle and recharge the R134a refrigerant used.





The refrigerant and compressor oil ARE NOT compatible with the existing CFC (R12) system. Different refrigerant charge connections are employed on the vehicles to prevent the use of the wrong refrigerant.

A range of new equipment is available for the R134a systems which are recommended below.
