DETAIL

During any service or maintenance repair work in the area of the left hand rocker cover on the V8 engine, it is important to be aware that the low tension (primary) wire routing is critical in the vicinity of the rocker cover to head joint.

Care should be taken when re-fitting the rocker cover to prevent the coil low tension (primary) lead from becoming trapped between the rocker cover and the cylinder head, as this will lead to an engine misfire condition.

ACTION REQUIRED

When carrying out any service or repair work, take care to prevent the low tension (primary) lead from becoming trapped between the cylinder head and the rocker cover.
