Bulletin: W95-002Section: Warranty
Date: 5/19/95
Model: Range Rover 4.0 SE
Applicable to: USA/CND
Subject:
4.0 SE Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) "P" Codes
Included are two new sets of Range Rover 4.0 SE on-board diagnostics (OBDII) system fault codes and labor operations. Please discard the pages found in the beginning of your Warranty Codes Manuals under the heading "Range Rover 4.0 SE On Board Diagnostics (OBD) System Fault Codes" and replace them with those attached to this bulletin.
This section of the Codes Manual has been designed to allow you to use labor operations that specifically apply to the fault codes elicited by the on-board diagnostics system. Each time that a MIL event is reported, you will be permitted to claim .20 hours for the TestBook hook-up, labor operation 19.22.01, and additional .05 hours each for the labor operations contained in the OBD section, up to a maximum of 4 codes per claim. For example, if you were to extract "P" codes P0101, P0116, P0133 and P0152 from the system, you would claim the following labor operations:
19.22.01 TestBook Test/Hook-up .20
19.22.0101 MAFS circuit performance out of range .05
19.22.0116 Water temperature circuit low range fault .05
19.22.0133 HO2S circuit low volt, upstream bank A .05
19.22.0152 HO2S circuit high volt, upstream sens bank B .05
It is imperative that these codes be used accurately. Your use of the proper codes will enable us to focus on areas where improvements can be made.
Note:
Until otherwise notified, all of the labor operations contained in this bulletin require prior approval.
Thank you for your cooperation.
