Differential Axle Housing: Service and Repair

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove rear wheels
3. Support axle using suitable jack.
4. Disconnect rear propeller shafts from differential and position propeller shaft aside.
5. Disconnect shock absorbers from axle.
6. Depressurize air suspension system using suitable electronic diagnostic tool.
7. Remove R-clips retaining air springs to axle.
8. Remove panhard rod and position aside.
9. Disconnect ABS electrical connector from body bracket.
10. Disconnect and plug brake lines.
11. Remove banjo bolt and strap securing breather hose to axle, then the plug hose.
12. Remove height sensors from trailing arms, then the bolts securing trailing arms to axle.
13. Remove axle from vehicle.
14. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Tighten to specification.
b. Bleed brake system.
c. Run engine to repressurize air suspension system.
