SITUATION:

MAKING PROPER FUEL LINE QUICK FIT CONNECTORS

Proper connection procedures must be followed to ensure fuel leakage cannot occur at quick fit junctions.

RESOLUTION:

PROPER CONNECTION PROCEDURES

When installing fuel lines, or fuel system components, follow proper connection procedures for quick fit connectors.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

QUICK FIT CONNECTION PROCEDURE





1. Verify that the mating surfaces of both male and female connector halves are clean and free from damage.

CAUTION:
Make certain that fuel lines do not become kinked, twisted or stressed, and are not in contact with adjacent components.

2. Firmly push the two mating halves together until they stop and an audible click is heard.

3. Pull back on the connector body to verify that the connector is locked.

CAUTION:
If any doubt exists regarding the connection, repeat the procedure to verify a proper connection.
