Torque Converter Seal

Oil seal - Converter

Service Repair No - 44.17.11

Remove

1. Remove automatic gearbox.
2. Position container beneath converter housing to catch oil spillage.





3. Remove torque converter retaining strap.
4. Remove torque converter.





5. Remove seal from converter housing taking care not to damage seal housing.

Refit

1. Clean seal location and running surface with a lint free cloth. Wipe oil spillage from converter housing.
2. Lubricate new seal with transmission oil.





3. Fit new seal to converter housing using tool LRT-44-01.
4. Fit torque converter.
5. Fit retaining strap.
6. Fit automatic gearbox.
