Front Door Check Arm

Removal
1 Remove the trim casing from the door. For additional information, refer to Front Door Trim Panel Front Door Trim Panel [3-Door]




2 Remove the circlips from the pin securing the gas strut to the door pillar.
3 Extract the pin and release the gas strut fork.




4 Mark the position of the bracket mounted on the door, for reassembly purposes.
5 Remove the two nuts securing the gas strut to the door and remove the gas strut.

Installation
1 To refit the strut, reverse the removal procedure, ensuring that the bracket on the door is aligned with the reference marks. Tighten the bolts securing the bracket to the door to 25 Nm (18 lbf.ft).
