Drive/Propeller Shaft: Adjustments

1. Inspect propeller shaft balance. Using a propeller shaft balancer, find the location of the imbalance.





2. Adjust propeller shaft balance. Select a bolt from among the four types of balance bolt prepared and replace the bolt on the flexible coupling.





NOTE: The numeral marked on the balance bolt head indicates the number of grams the bolt is heavier than a standard bolt.
Adjustment target value (unbalance): 3 g (0.0066 lbs.) or less.
