Exhaust Camshaft Disassembly

1. Mount the hexagon wrench head portion of the camshaft in a suitable vise.

NOTE: Be careful not to damage the camshaft.






2. Using variable pin wrench Special Service Tool (SST) No. 09960-10010, or equivalent, turn the sub-gear clockwise, and remove the service bolt.




3. Using snap ring pliers, remove the snap ring.
4. Remove the wave washer, camshaft sub-gear and camshaft gear spring.

NOTE: Arrange the camshaft sub-gears and gear spring (RH and LH sides).
