Sun Shade: Testing and Inspection

INSPECTION







1. INSPECT REAR SUNSHADE SWITCH (in Rear seat control)
If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.







2. INSPECT REAR SUNSHADE SWITCH
If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.







3. Disconnect connector:
INSPECT REAR SUNSHADE CONTROL RELAY
Disconnect the connector from the rear sunshade relay and inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.
If continuity is not as specified, replace the rear sunshade relay.







4. Connect connector:
INSPECT REAR SUNSHADE CONTROL RELAY
Connect the connector from the rear sunshade relay and inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.
If continuity is not as specified, replace the rear sunshade control relay.




5. INSPECT REAR SUNSHADE MOTOR
a. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 4 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 3, and check that the motor turns counterclockwise.

b. Reverse the polarity, check that the motor turns clockwise.
If operation is not as specified, replace the rear sunshade assembly.







6. INSPECT SUB WIRE HARNESS (in Rear armrest)
