REMOVAL
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative* battery terminal to prevent airbag activation.

2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
3. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
4. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH
5. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH
6. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 2 nuts and cover.

7. REMOVE NO.1 AIR CLEANER INLET
a. Remove the bolt and inlet.

8. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE
9. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY





10. DISCONNECT RADIATOR HOSE INLET
a. Disconnect the hose inlet.





11. DISCONNECT RADIATOR HOSE OUTLET
a. Disconnect the hose outlet.





12. DISCONNECT NO.1 OIL COOLER INLET TUBE
a. Disconnect the tube from the radiator.





13. DISCONNECT NO.1 OIL COOLER OUTLET TUBE
a. Disconnect the tube from the radiator.
b. Detach the tube from the radiator's clamp.

14. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER
15. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER
16. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER
17. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY
18. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY
19. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the wire harness from the cooling fan ECU.





b. Remove the 4 bolts.





c. Detach the ECM outlet duct.
d. Remove the radiator from the engine room.





e. Disconnect the reservoir hose.





f. Detach the 3 claws and remove the fan.





g. Remove the 2 radiator support cushions and 2 radiator lower supports from the radiator.

INSTALLATION





1. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY
a. Install the 2 radiator support cushions and 2 radiator lower supports to the radiator.





b. Install the fan to the radiator, and attach the 3 claws.





c. Install the radiator and attach the ECM outlet duct.





d. Align the radiator with the condenser. Then install the radiator with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 inch lbs.)

2. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUBASSEMBLY
3. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY
4. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER
5. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER
6. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER





7. CONNECT NO.1 OIL COOLER OUTLET TUBE
a. Connect the outlet tube.
b. Attach the tube to the radiator's clamp.





8. CONNECT NO.1 OIL COOLER INLET TUBE
a. Connect the inlet tube.





9. CONNECT RADIATOR HOSE OUTLET
a. Connect the hose outlet.

HINT:
^ Face the clamp's claw toward the bottom of the vehicle.
^ Make sure the clearance between the clamp edge and radiator hose edge (labeled A) is between 1 to 5 mm (0.039 to 0.197 inch).
^ Insert the hose until it contacts the radiator. Make sure the clearance between the hose and radiator (labeled B) is between 0 to 2.5 mm (0 to 0.098 inch).





10. CONNECT RADIATOR HOSE INLET
a. Connect the hose inlet.

11. ADD ENGINE COOLANT
12. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS
a. Check for engine coolant leaks.

13. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY
14. INSTALL NO.1 AIR CLEANER INLET
a. Install the inlet with the bolt.
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 inch lbs.)

15. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Install the cover with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 inch lbs.)

16. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH
17. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH
18. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
19. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER
20. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
21. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization procedure.

NOTICE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal.
