Fuel Pump Ballast Resistor: Service and Repair

Fuel Pump Resistor:

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH
3. REMOVE FUEL PUMP RESISTOR

a. Disconnect the connector and clamp from the fuel pump resistor.
b. Remove the 3 bolts and fuel pump resistor, and disconnect the ground wires.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FUEL PUMP RESISTOR

a. Install the fuel pump resistor with the bolt.

Torque: 5.0 N.m (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf)

b. Install the ground wires with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 8.0 N.m (80 kgf.cm, 69 in.lbf)

c. Connect the connector with the clamp.

3. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
