CONDENSER
REMOVAL
1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH
3. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH
4. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
5. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
6. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
7. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
8. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
9. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH
10. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH
11. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY
12. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET SUB-ASSEMBLY
13. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET
14. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY
15. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER
16. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)
17. SEPARATE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK HOSE
18. DISCONNECT RADIATOR HOSE INLET
19. DISCONNECT RADIATOR HOSE OUTLET
20. DISCONNECT NO. 1 OIL COOLER INLET HOSE
21. DISCONNECT NO. 1 OIL COOLER OUTLET HOSE
22. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT UPPER
23. DISCONNECT LIQUID TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the bolt and disconnect the liquid tube sub-assembly from the condenser.
b. Remove the O-ring from the liquid tube sub-assembly.
NOTE: Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.
24. DISCONNECT COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE PIPE
a. Remove the bolt and disconnect the cooler refrigerant discharge pipe from the condenser.
b. Remove the O-ring from the cooler refrigerant discharge pipe.
NOTE: Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.
25. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 4 bolts and condenser.
26. REMOVE COOLER DRYER
a. Using a 14 mm straight hexagon wrench, remove the cap from the modulator.
b. Using pliers, remove the cooler dryer.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL COOLER DRYER
a. Using pliers, install the cooler dryer to the modulator.
b. Apply sufficient compressor oil to an O-ring and cap fitting surface.
Compressor oil: ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
c. Using a straight hexagon wrench 14 mm, install the cap to the cooler condenser core.
Torque: 2.9 N.m (30 kgf.cm, 26 in.lbf)
2. INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY
a. Install the cooler condenser assembly with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 5.0 N.m (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf)
HINT: If the condenser is replaced with a new one, add compressor oil to the new condenser.
Capacity: 40 cc (1.4 fl. oz.)
Compressor oil: ND-8 or equivalent
3. INSTALL COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE PIPE
a. Remove the attached vinyl tape from the pipe and the connecting part of the cooler condenser assembly.
b. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the pipe joint.
Compressor oil: ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
c. Install the O-ring on the cooler refrigerant discharge pipe.
Torque: 9.8 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 87 in.lbf)
4. INSTALL LIQUID TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the attached vinyl tape from the tube and the connecting part of the cooler condenser assembly.
b. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the tube joint.
Compressor oil: ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
c. Install the O-ring on the liquid tube sub-assembly.
d. Install the liquid tube sub-assembly on the cooler condenser assembly with the bolt.
Torque: 9.8 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 87 in.lbf)
5. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT UPPER
6. CONNECT NO. 1 OIL COOLER OUTLET TUBE
7. CONNECT NO. 1 OIL COOLER INLET TUBE
8. CONNECT RADIATOR HOSE OUTLET
9. CONNECT RADIATOR HOSE INLET
10. CONNECT RADIATOR RESERVOIR TANK HOSE
11. INSTALL MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)
12. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER
13. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY
14. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET
15. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET SUB-ASSEMBLY
16. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY
17. ADD ENGINE COOLANT
18. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS
19. CHARGE WITH REFRIGERANT
20. WARM UP COMPRESSOR
21. CHECK FOR REFRIGERANT LEAKS
22. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
23. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH
24. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH
25. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
26. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
27. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
28. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH
29. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH
30. ADJUST MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)
