REAR SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY
REMOVAL
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (W/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)
CAUTION: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment.
2. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY.
3. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
a. Remove the bolt and the rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH.
4. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
5. REMOVE REAR CENTER SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
6. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
7. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
8. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
9. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH (W/o Rear Seat Side Airbag)
10. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH (W/o Rear Seat Side Airbag)
11. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH (W/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)
12. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY RH (W/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)
HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.
13. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH
14. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH
15. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY LH
a. Remove the bolt and disconnect the floor end of the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly LH.
16. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.
17. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
a. Remove the bolt and disconnect the floor end of the rear seat inner with center belt assembly RH.
18. REMOVE REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT HOLE COVER
a. Disengage the 4 claws and remove the rear seat shoulder belt hole cover.
HINT: Use the same procedure for the other 2 rear seat shoulder belt hole covers.
19. REMOVE CENTER STOP LIGHT SET (W/o Rear Sunshade)
20. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (W/o Rear Sunshade)
a. Disengage the 2 clips.
b. Pass the 3 rear seat belt floor anchors through the package tray trim panel assembly.
c. Disengage the 6 claws and remove the package tray trim panel assembly.
21. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (W/ Rear Sunshade)
22. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
a. Remove the bolt and the rear seat inner with center belt assembly RH.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
a. Check the degree of tilt when the ELR begins to lock.
1. Check that the belt does not lock at less than 15° of tilt in any direction but locks at over 45° of tilt while gently pulling the belt.
NOTE: Do not disassemble the retractor.
b. Install the rear seat inner with center belt assembly RH with the bolt.
Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
2. INSTALL PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (W/o Rear Sunshade.
a. Pass the 3 rear seat belt floor anchors through the package tray trim panel assembly.
b. Engage the 2 clips and 6 claws to install the package tray trim panel assembly.
3. INSTALL PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (W/ Rear Sunshade)
4. INSTALL CENTER STOP LIGHT SET (W/o Rear Sunshade)
5. INSTALL REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT HOLE COVER
a. Engage the 4 claws to install the rear seat shoulder belt hole cover.
HINT: see the same procedure for the other 2 rear seat shoulder belt hole covers.
6. CONNECT REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
a. Install the floor end of the rear seat inner with center belt assembly RH with the bolt.
Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
NOTE: Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat inner with center belt assembly RH to overlap the protruding parts of the floor panel.
b. Check if the ELR locks.
NOTE: The check should be performed with the rear seat inner with center belt assembly RH installed.
1. With the belt assembly installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.
7. INSTALL REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY LH
a. Install the floor end of the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly LH with the bolt.
Torque: 42 N m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
NOTE: Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly LH to overlap the protruding parts of the floor panel.
b. Check if the ELR locks.
NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt assembly installed.
1. With the belt assembly installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.
8. INSTALL REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.
9. INSTALL ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH
10. INSTALL ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH
11. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH (W/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)
12. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY RH (W/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)
HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.
13. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH (W/o Rear Seat Side Airbag)
14. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH (W/o Rear Seat Side Airbag)
15. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
16. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
17. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
18. INSTALL REAR CENTER SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
19. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
20. INSTALL REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
a. Install the rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH with the bolt.
Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
NOTE: Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH to overlap the protruding parts of the floor panel.
21. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
22. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (W/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)
23. PERFORM INITIALIZATION (W/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)
NOTE: Some systems need initialization after reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.
24. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT (W/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)
