Stereo Component Amplifier:

STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

NOTE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY
3. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY
4. REMOVE ROPE HOOK
5. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD RH
6. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE
7. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT NO. 1 LIGHT ASSEMBLY
8. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT NO. 2 TRIM HOOK (w/o Rear Cooler)
9. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER FRONT
10. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER COVER (w/ Rear Cooler)
11. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY RH
12. REMOVE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET

a. Disconnect the connectors.
b. Remove the 4 nuts and amplifier with bracket.

13. REMOVE NO. 1 AMPLIFIER BRACKET

a. Remove the 2 screws and bracket.

14. REMOVE NO. 2 AMPLIFIER BRACKET

a. Remove the 2 screws and bracket.

INSTALLATION

HINT: A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.

1. INSTALL NO. 2 AMPLIFIER BRACKET

a. Set the bracket's aligning protrusions labeled A into the amplifier's holes.
b. Install the bracket with the 2 screws labeled B.

2. INSTALL NO. 1 AMPLIFIER BRACKET

a. Set the bracket's aligning protrusions labeled A into the amplifier's holes.
b. Install the bracket with the 2 screws labeled B.

3. INSTALL STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET

a. Install the amplifier with the 4 nuts.

HINT: Tighten the nuts in the order shown in the illustration.

b. Connect the connector.

4. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY RH
5. INSTALL NO. 1 COOLER COVER (w/ Rear Cooler)
6. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER FRONT
7. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT NO. 2 TRIM HOOK (w/o Rear Cooler)
8. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT NO. 1 LIGHT ASSEMBLY
9. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE
10. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD RH
11. INSTALL ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY
12. INSTALL ROPE HOOK
13. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY
14. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
15. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization. Testing and Inspection

NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
