INTRODUCTION:
Some 2007 model year LS460 customers may complain of a rattle noise coming from under the front of the vehicle. The noise may be caused by loose front bolts for the engine under cover #2 (see picture below). The engine under cover #2 is the large aluminum panel under the engine and transmission.
Use the repair procedure below to correct this condition.
APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
- 2007 model year LS 460 vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown below.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. If any of the 4 front bolts are loose, tighten the bolts to specified torque.
Bolt head size: 10 mm (0.4 in.)
Torque: 10 N-m (102 kgf-cm, 7.4 ft-lbf)
2. Confirm that the repair corrected the condition.
