HINT: Using the intelligent tester or Techstream to perform the Active Tests allows relays, VSVs and actuators and other items to be operated without removing any parts. This non-intrusive functional inspection can be very useful because intermittent operation may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Performing Active test early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time. Data List information can be displayed while performing Active Tests.

NOTE: In the table. the values listed under Normal Condition are reference only. Do not depend solely on these values when determining whether or not a part is faulty.

a. Warm up the engine.
b. Turn the engine switch off.
c. Connect the intelligent tester or Techstream to the DLC3.
d. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
e. Turn the tester ON.

f. Enter the following menus:
1. Intelligent tester - Select: DIAGNOSIS / ENHANCED OBD II / DATA LIST.
2. Techstream - Select: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / All Data.
