REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY
REMOVAL
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
NOTE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
3. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH
a. for Power Seat:
Remove the rear seat cushion.
b. for Ottoman:
Remove the rear seat cushion.
4. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH
a. for Power Seat:
Remove the rear seat cushion.
b. for Ottoman:
Remove the rear seat cushion.
5. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Seat Type)
6. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
a. for Standard Body:
Remove the rear door scuff plate.
b. for Long Body:
Remove the rear door scuff plate.
7. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
a. for Standard Body:
Remove the rear door scuff plate.
b. for Long Body:
Remove the rear door scuff plate.
8. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH
9. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH
10. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER LH
11. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER RH
12. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY LH
a. Remove the bolt and disconnect the floor anchor.
13. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY RH
a. Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
14. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY CENTER
a. for Power Seat:
Remove the bolt and anchor part of the rear seat outer belt assembly.
b. for Fixed Seat Type:
Remove the nut and anchor part of the rear seat outer belt assembly.
15. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH
a. for Power Seat:
Remove the rear seatback.
b. for Ottoman:
Remove the rear seatback.
16. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH
a. for Power Seat:
Remove the rear seatback.
b. for Ottoman:
Remove the rear seatback.
17. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Seat Type)
18. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Sunshade)
19. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/o Rear Sunshade)
a. Except Ottoman:
Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 claws and remove the 3 belt guides.
1. Disengage the 2 clips and raise the front portion of the package tray trim panel assembly.
2. Pass the 3 rear seat belt floor anchors through the package tray trim panel assembly.
3. Disengage the 5 claws and remove the package tray trim panel assembly.
b. for Ottoman:
Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 belt guides.
1. Disengage the 2 clips and raise the front portion of the package tray trim panel assembly.
2. Pass the 2 rear seat belt floor anchors through the package tray trim panel assembly.
3. Disengage the 5 claws and remove the package tray trim panel assembly.
20. REMOVE ROOF SIDE NO. 2 AIR DUCT LH (w/ Rear Cooler)
21. REMOVE ROOF SIDE NO. 2 AIR DUCT RH (w/ Rear Cooler)
22. REMOVE NO. 4 AIR DUCT REAR (w/ Rear Cooler)
23. REMOVE NO. 5 AIR DUCT REAR (w/ Rear Cooler)
24. REMOVE REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY LH
a. Disconnect the pretensioner connector, as shown in the illustration.
b. Remove the bolt and seat belt.
25. REMOVE REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY RH
a. Disconnect the pretensioner connector, as shown in the illustration.
b. Remove the bolt and seat belt.
26. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY CENTER
a. Remove the 2 bolts and rear seat outer belt assembly center.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY CENTER
a. Align the seat belt positioning hole with the claw.
b. Temporarily install the outer belt with the 2 bolts.
c. Tighten the rear side bolt first, then the front side bolt to install the outer belt.
Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf) for rear bolt
7.5 N.m (77 kgf.cm, 66 in.lbf) for front bolt
2. INSTALL REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY LH
a. Insert the claw of the retractor (a) into the hole.
b. Align the seat belt positioning hole with the claw and install the retractor of the seat belt with the bolt.
Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
c. Connect the pretensioner connector, as shown in the illustration.
3. INSTALL REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY RH
a. Insert the claw of the retractor (a) into the hole.
b. Align the seat belt positioning hole with the claw and install the retractor of the seat belt with the bolt.
Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
c. Connect the pretensioner connector, as shown in the illustration.
4. INSTALL NO. 4 AIR DUCT REAR (w/ Rear Cooler)
5. INSTALL NO. 5 AIR DUCT REAR (w/ Rear Cooler)
6. INSTALL ROOF SIDE NO. 2 AIR DUCT LH (w/ Rear Cooler)
7. INSTALL ROOF SIDE NO. 2 AIR DUCT RH (w/ Rear Cooler)
8. INSTALL NO. 2 PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Sunshade)
9. INSTALL PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Sunshade)
10. INSTALL PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/o Rear Sunshade)
a. Except Ottoman:
1. Pass the 3 rear seat belt floor anchors through the package tray trim panel assembly.
2. Attach the 5 claws and 2 clips to install the package tray trim panel assembly.
3. Attach the 4 claws to install the 3 belt guides.
b. for Ottoman:
1. Pass the 2 rear seat belt floor anchors through the package tray trim panel assembly.
2. Attach the 5 claws and 2 clips to install the package tray trim panel assembly.
3. Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 belt guides.

a. for Standard Body:
Install the rear door scuff plate.
b. for Long Body:
Install the rear door scuff plate.
16. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
a. for Standard Body:
Install the rear door scuff plate.
b. for Long Body:
Install the rear door scuff plate.
17. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Seat Type)
18. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for Power Seat)
19. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH (for Power Seat)
20. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for Ottoman)
21. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH (for Ottoman)
22. CONNECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY LH
a. Install the floor end of the rear seat outer belt assembly LH with the bolt.
Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
NOTE: Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly LH to overlap the protruding parts of the floor panel.
b. Check if the ELR locks.
NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt assembly installed.
1. With the belt assembly installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.
23. CONNECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY RH
a. Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
24. CONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY CENTER
a. for Power Seat:
Install the floor end of the rear seat outer belt assembly center with the bolt.
Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
NOTE: Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat outer belt assembly to overlap the protruding parts of the floor panel.
b. for Fixed Seat Type:
Install the floor end of the rear seat outer belt assembly center with the nut.
Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
NOTE: Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat outer belt assembly to overlap the protruding parts of the floor panel.
c. Check if the ELR locks.
NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt assembly installed.
1. With the belt assembly installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.
25. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Seat Type)

a. for Power Seat:
1. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly.
b. for Ottoman Seat:
1. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly.

a. for Power Seat:
1. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly.
b. for Ottoman Seat:
1. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly.
28. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
29. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
30. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization.
NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
