REMOVAL
1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER PROTECTOR RH
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

NOTICE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

3. DRAIN DIFFERENTIAL OIL
(a) Using a 10 mm hexagon wrench, remove the filler plug and gasket.
(b) Using a 10 mm hexagon wrench, remove the drain plug and gasket and drain the oil.
(c) Install the differential drain plug and a new gasket.
Torque: 49 N*m (500 kgf*cm, 36 ft.*lbf)
4. REMOVE REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the rear drive shaft assembly LH.





5. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL SIDE GEAR SHAFT OIL SEAL
(a) Using SST, tap out the oil seal.

INSTALLATION





1. INSTALL REAR DIFFERENTIAL SIDE GEAR SHAFT OIL SEAL
(a) Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new oil seal.
SST 09223-15030, 09950-70010 (09951-07150)
Standard depth: -0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.020 to 0.020 in.)
(b) Apply MP grease to the lip of the oil seal.
2. INSTALL REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Install the rear drive shaft assembly LH.
3. ADD DIFFERENTIAL OIL
(a) Add differential oil.
4. CHECK DIFFERENTIAL OIL
(a) Check differential oil.
5. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
(a) Install the rear wheels.
Torque: 140 N*m (1428 kgf*cm, 103 ft.*lbf)
6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
7. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER PROTECTOR RH
8. CHECK SUSPENSION CONTROL SYSTEM (for Air Suspension)
(a) Check the suspension control system.
9. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT
(a) Inspect and adjust the rear wheel alignment.
10. CHECK ABS SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
(a) Check speed sensor signal.
11. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization.

NOTICE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
