HEADLIGHT CLEANER ACTUATOR

REMOVAL

HINT:
- Use the same procedures for both the RH and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

NOTE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH
4. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH
5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
6. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
7. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE ASSEMBLY
8. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH
9. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH
10. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH
11. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH
12. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER
13. REMOVE LH HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY
14. REMOVE HEADLIGHT WASHER ACTUATOR SUBASSEMBLY




a. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the headlight actuator nozzle case.

NOTE: Do not push the claw with excessive force as damage may occur.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.




b. Remove the 2 screws.

15. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT CLEANER HOSE




a. Disconnect the hose from the headlight cleaner motor and pump.
b. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 clamps and remove the hose.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL NO. 1 HEADLIGHT CLEANER HOSE




a. Attach the 4 clamps and install the hose to the front bumper reinforcement.
b. Connect the hose to the headlight cleaner motor and pump.

2. INSTALL HEADLIGHT WASHER ACTUATOR SUBASSEMBLY




a. Insert the headlight washer actuator into the headlight, and attach the 2 claws to the nozzle case.




b. Install the actuator to the headlight with the 2 screws.

3. INSTALL LH HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY
4. INSTALL RH HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY
5. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER
6. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RH
7. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER LH
8. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH
9. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH
10. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE ASSEMBLY
11. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
12. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUBASSEMBLY
13. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH
14. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH
15. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
16. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
17. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization.

NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

18. ADJUST HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY
a. Adjust the headlight assembly.
