PROPELLER SHAFT: REAR PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY (for 2GR-FSE):

DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE PROPELLER INTERMEDIATE SHAFT

(a) Put matchmarks on the intermediate shaft and propeller shaft.
(b) Separate the intermediate shaft and propeller shaft.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the spline.

(c) Remove the adjusting nut from the intermediate shaft.

(d) Remove the dust boot from the propeller shaft.
HINT: If the dust boot is to be reused, remove it after wrapping vinyl tape around the spline, so it will not be damaged.

2. REMOVE NO. 1 CENTER SUPPORT BEARING ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a snap ring expander, remove the snap ring.

(b) Using SST and a press, remove the No. 1 center support bearing assembly and No. 2 dust deflector.
