DIFFERENTIAL: REAR DIFFERENTIAL SIDE GEAR SHAFT OIL SEAL: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL REAR DIFFERENTIAL SIDE GEAR SHAFT OIL SEAL






(a) Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new oil seal.
SST: 09223-15030
SST: 09950-70010
09951-07150
Standard depth:
-0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.020 to 0.020 in.)
(b) Apply MP grease to the lip of the oil seal.
2. INSTALL REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Install the rear drive shaft assembly LH Installation.
3. ADD DIFFERENTIAL OIL
(a) Add differential oil Testing and Inspection.
4. CHECK DIFFERENTIAL OIL
(a) Check differential oil Testing and Inspection.
5. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
(a) Install the rear wheels.
Torque: 140 Nm (1428 kgf-cm, 103 ft-lbf)
6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
7. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER PROTECTOR RH Installation

8. CHECK SUSPENSION CONTROL SYSTEM (for Air Suspension)
(a) Check the suspension control system Adjustments.
9. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT
(a) Inspect and adjust the rear wheel alignment Front Wheel Alignment.
10. CHECK ABS SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
(a) Check speed sensor signal Test Mode Procedure.
11. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization Repair Instruction - Initialization.
NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
