Canister Purge Control Valve: Testing and Inspection

4GR-FSE EMISSION CONTROL: PURGE VALVE: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard Resistance:





(b) If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly.

(c) Check operation of the purge VSV.

(1) Check that air does not flow from port E to port F.

(2) Apply battery voltage across terminals 1 and 2.

(3) Check that air flows from port E to port F.
