FRONT SUSPENSION: FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM: INSTALLATION

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.
* The following procedure is for the LH side.

1. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN NO. 2 LOWER ARM BRACKET ASSEMBLY

(a) Temporarily install the No. 2 lower arm bracket assembly to the front lower suspension arm assembly with the nut and washer.





2. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the front lower suspension arm assembly and strut bar bracket reinforcement with the 5 bolts and the nut.





Bolt 1 - Torque : 204 Nm (2080 kgf-cm, 150 ft-lbf)

Bolt 2 - Torque : 86 Nm (877 kgf-cm, 63 ft-lbf)

Bolt 3 - Torque : 50 Nm (510 kgf-cm, 37 ft-lbf)

Bolt 4 - Torque : 34 Nm (347 kgf-cm, 25 ft-lbf)

(b) Temporarily tighten the front lower suspension arm assembly with the bolt, washer and nut.





HINT
Insert the bolt from the front of the vehicle.

3. INSTALL FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT ASSEMBLY Installation

4. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING

(a) Insert the bolt from the rear of the vehicle, and install the front shock absorber lower side on the front lower suspension arm assembly.





(b) Temporarily tighten the bolt while holding the nut.

5. INSTALL STEERING KNUCKLE WITH AXLE ASSEMBLY Installation

6. INSTALL FRONT DISC

for Floating Type Caliper Installation

for Opposed Type Caliper Installation

7. INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY Replacement

8. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY Installation

9. CONNECT HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR LINK SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ HID Headlight System) Installation

10. CONNECT FRONT SPEED SENSOR WIRE Installation

11. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER

12. INSTALL NO. 1 BODY MOUNTING BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Install the No. 1 body mounting bracket sub-assembly LH with the 3 bolts.





Torque : 52 Nm (530 kgf-cm, 38 ft-lbf)

13. INSTALL NO. 1 BODY MOUNTING BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Perform the same procedure as the LH side.

14. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER LH Installation

15. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER RH Installation

16. STABILIZE SUSPENSION Installation

17. FULLY TIGHTEN FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING Installation

18. FULLY TIGHTEN FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY

(a) Fully tighten the bolt on the front of the front lower suspension arm assembly.





Torque : 135 Nm (1377 kgf-cm, 100 ft-lbf)

(b) Fully tighten the nut of the No. 2 lower arm bracket assembly.





Torque : 113 Nm (1152 kgf-cm, 83 ft-lbf)

19. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER

20. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

Torque : 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)

21. CHECK FOR SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL

Check for speed sensor signal Test Mode Procedure.

22. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT

HINT
Inspect and adjust the front wheel alignment Front Wheel Alignment.

23. INSPECT AND ADJUST HEADLIGHT AIMING (w/ HID Headlight System)

HINT
Inspect and adjust the headlight aiming Adjustments.
