Idle Mixture Screw Concealment Plug Removal

Some engines are equipped with tamper-proof idle mixture screws. If during diagnosis, it is evident that mixture adjustments are required, follow the procedures below to gain access to idle mixture screw.

1. Holding throttle securely, use a suitable hacksaw to cut mixture screw limiter shell approximately .47 inches from cap end as shown, Fig. 11.
2. Install new limiter cap shell, spring and mixture screw.
