DESCRIPTION

A procedure for removing B2000 SE-5 body stripes has been established.

The body stripes have been modified as follows since the production of October, 1984:

1. The length of the stripes has been decreased.
2. The transparent portions of the stripes have been removed.

The new type body stripes are available as listed below. For best customer satisfaction, it is recommended to install the modified stripe set, if possible.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Using a heat gun to soften the adhesive, begin at a corner of the stripe and carefully peel the stripe from the surface.
2. Use 3M #08908 WOODGRAIN AND STRIPE ADHESIVE REMOVER according to the directions to remove the adhesive.
3. Remove any remaining adhesive using a wax and grease remover such as:
^ NAPA #6383 KLEANZ-EASY
^ 3M #08984 GENERAL PURPOSE ADHESIVE CLEANER
4. Apply a soap and water solution (1 part liquid detergent to 99 parts water) to the surface and apply the new stripes, The soap and water solution will facilitate the alignment of the stripes and removal of any bubbles.
