SAFETY RECALL





PURPOSE

Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America Inc. is voluntarily recalling some 1990 Eclipse vehicles produced between June 1989 and December 1989 to replace the sunroof hinges. When open, the sunroof can become unhinged and could be blown off the car. The replacement hinges hold the sunroof in place whether open or closed.

AFFECTED VEHICLES

1990 Eclipse vehicles equipped with sun roofs produced between June and December 12, 1989 and within the VIN Range 019122 to 090356. The owners of these vehicles have been notified of this recall by letter and asked to bring their cars to a Mitsubishi Motors dealership for repair. A copy of the Customer Notification letter is attached.
