Harness Repair Procedure

1. Press the pop-up switch button to raise the headlamps.

Turn on the headlights and check to see if they both light.

Turn headlights off.





2. Remove headlamp fuse # 10 from fuse box under dash.





3. Remove the front center garnish (A) and the turn signal lamps (B).





4. Remove the headlamp bezels.





5. Remove the headlamps.





6. Unplug the headlamp connector. Grasp each wire, one at a time, close to the connector with one hand and with the other hand, 3", away from the connector. Pull gently in opposite directions. If the wire stretches, then the wire is broken. Strip the ends, and repair by soldering.





7. Install harness extension.

8. Re-route the headlamp harness down along the fog lamp harness, and secure it with three cable bands as shown in Fig. 9.

9. Reinstall all parts previously removed.
