ECLIPSE HEADLIGHT HARNESS
PURPOSE
This Safety Recall Bulletin describes a repair for the headlamp wiring harness on certain 1990 Eclipse models.
This repair is necessary to prevent the possibility of headlamp outage during night driving.
Headlamp pop-up movement creates a stress concentration at the end of the headlamp harness which can cause an open circuit just behind the headlamp connector, between the connector and the corrugated tubing.
VEHICLES AFFECTED
This recall applies to all Eclipse models produced from Job # 1 through the end of March, 1989.
THE CORRECTIVE PROCEDURE MUST BE FOLLOWED FOR VEHICLES IN DEALER STOCK, AS WELL AS THOSE ALREADY SOLD.
