PURPOSE
In some 1990 Eclipse vehicles, a "clunking" noise may occur when the seat belt buckle mechanism stops in the full forward position. This noise may be caused by deterioration of the small rubber stopper at the end of the guide rail. The following procedure may be used to correct the condition.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE (See Figure 1)
1. Lower the affected door's window.
2. Activate the seat belt mechanism by closing the door and turning the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
3. Using needle nose pliers, remove the old rubber stopper.
4. Push the new rubber stopper into the hole.
NOTE: If the new rubber stopper does not enter the hole completely, use needle nose pliers to pull the stopper into position.
5. Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position.
