PURPOSE

This bulletin advises service technicians to use the 1993 2.0L DOHC Eclipse timing belt replacement instructions shown in the 92-93 Engine Overhaul manual, not the 92-93 Eclipse Volume 1 service manual.

DETAILS

1993 2.0L DOHC engines have the timing belt timing marks in a different location. The locations shown in the 1992-93 Eclipse Volume I service manual do not apply to the 1993 2.0L DOHC engine. They DO apply to other engines (i.e. SOHC, 1992 DOHC).

The 92-93 Engine Overhaul Manual has the correct replacement instructions. The procedure begins on page 11F-49.
