Drive Shaft View:

Replace driveshaft in numbered sequence shown in Figs. 34 and 35, noting the following:

Removing Drive Shaft:

1. On Eclipse Galant and 3000GT models, proceed as follows:
a. Using a suitable pry bar, remove driveshaft from differential carrier, Fig. 36.
b. Install driveshaft oil seal using oil seal installer tool No. MB990938-01 and MB991115 or equivalent.
c. When installing driveshaft, ensure that splines of driveshaft do not damage oil seal lip.

Removing Drive Shaft:

2. On Expo models, proceed as follows:
a. Using end yoke retainer tool No. MB990767-01 or equivalent, remove driveshaft nut.
b. Using a suitable shaft puller tool, press driveshaft out of rear hub, Fig. 37.
